Main Classification and Usage of Explosion-Proof Distribution Boxes

Explosion-proof distribution boxes are a type of distribution box with explosion-proof performance. They mainly include explosion-proof lighting distribution boxes, explosion-proof power distribution boxes, explosion-proof anti-corrosion distribution boxes, etc. BXM(D) explosion-proof distribution boxes are suitable for wiring and power distribution in flammable and explosive places such as petrochemical plants, oil platforms, chemical industry, pharmaceuticals, coal, smelting, shipbuilding, military, textiles, etc. They are used in Zone 1 and Zone 2 explosive gas atmospheres, and Zone 20, Zone 21, and Zone 22 combustible dust environments.

Main Classification

Explosion-proof distribution boxes are divided into: explosion-proof lighting boxes, explosion-proof power boxes, explosion-proof control boxes, explosion-proof control cabinets, explosion-proof power distribution cabinets, explosion-proof operation boxes, explosion-proof boxes, explosion-proof starter boxes, explosion-proof motor starters, explosion-proof soft starters, explosion-proof variable frequency boxes, explosion-proof star-delta starter boxes, explosion-proof auto-transformer starter boxes, explosion-proof magnetic starter boxes, explosion-proof power socket boxes, mobile explosion-proof boxes, BMG explosion-proof distribution boxes, etc.

Usage Method

1. According to the actual lighting needs of the work site, determine the installation position and method of the lamp, and then prepare the corresponding length of three-core cable according to the distance from the lamp to the 220V power supply connection point (if using steel pipe wiring, lead the three-core cable into the steel pipe to the lamp installation location).

2. First, remove the fixing screws on the junction box, pull out the wiring part of the junction box; take out the sealing ring and connector (with set screw) from the packaging box, and thread them onto the cable in sequence; then connect one end of the three-core cable to the marked "L", "N", and grounding points inside the box respectively, tighten the cable with the cable clamp, fix it with the tightening screws, then tighten the connector, compress the sealing ring, and tighten the set screw from the side.

3. Screw the component from step 2 into the steel pipe, install the set screw from the side to lock it, then insert the lamp body along the guide rail of the junction box, and tighten the screws on the panel.

4. Finally, connect the other end of the three-core cable to the 220V power supply according to the explosion-proof distribution box requirements.

5. When replacing the bulb, first cut off the power, then use an Allen wrench to remove the set screw on the housing, use a large screwdriver or other tool to loosen the lamp cover by 6 turns, then carefully remove the lamp cover by hand, unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a new one.
