Electric heater design power calculation formula and calculation example for easy understanding:

I.Power calculation formula:

 1. Power required for initial heating

KW = ( C1M1△T + C2M2△T ) ÷ 864/P + P/2

Where:

C1C2 are the specific heats of the container and medium respectively (Kcal/Kg℃)

M1M2 are the masses of the container and medium respectively (Kg)

△T is the difference between the required temperature and the initial temperature (℃)

P is the power required to heat the medium to the set temperature within the specified time (KW)

Generally, the heat dissipation of the container is taken as 0.1-0.3 times the actual power.

2. Power required to maintain the medium temperature

KW = C2M3△T / 864 + P

Where M3 increases the medium mass per hour (Kg/h).
