Calculation of Resistance for Ultra-Fine Single-Head Right-Angle Electric Heating Tube

Ultra-fine single-head right-angle electric heating tube origin:

Ultra-fine single-head right-angle electric heating tube, also called single-end electric heating tube or cartridge heater, is a type of electric heating tube (tubular heating element). In China's electric heating industry, there is a long-standing model: M3. In the late 1990s, due to the widespread application of electric heating tubes in China, many shapes emerged. In southern China, this type of electric heating tube with one lead wire used in molds is called single-head or single-end electric heating tube, which is quite descriptive.

Abroad, it is called cartridge heater, also a descriptive name, because the cartridge shell is cylindrical with one end sealed, which is similar to the Chinese term single-head electric heating tube.

 Detailed product introduction of ultra-fine single-head right-angle electric heating tube:

The ultra-fine single-head right-angle stainless steel electric heating tube uses domestic thick-walled seamless stainless steel tubes, imported high-temperature magnesium oxide powder from the United States, and sealing materials, enabling the tube to withstand temperatures up to 900°C. It will not be damaged even when dry-heated under temporary dehydration conditions. It also undergoes a 1060°C high-temperature nitriding treatment in an atmosphere-protected blackening mesh belt furnace, improving the tube's high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, ensuring a long service life.

Calculation of resistance for ultra-fine single-head right-angle electric heating tube:

  Example: 220V 1500W electric heating tube

  P=1500W (power) U=220V (voltage) Find: I (current)

  I=P/U=1500/220≈6.82A

  Ohm's law Find: R (resistance)

  R=U/I=220/6.82≈32.27Ω

Precautions for using ultra-fine single-head right-angle electric heating tube:

1. The component should be stored in a dry place. If the insulation resistance drops below 1 megohm due to long-term storage, it can be dried in an oven at about 200°C for several hours (or apply low voltage for several hours) to restore the insulation resistance.

2. If carbon deposits are found on the tube surface, they must be completely removed before reuse to avoid reducing efficiency or even damaging the component.

3. When melting solid oils such as asphalt and paraffin, reduce the voltage during melting, then increase to the rated voltage after melting to prevent concentrated power from reducing the component's service life.
