Causes and Troubleshooting of Reduced Operating Current in Electric Heaters

Causes and troubleshooting of reduced current during operation:

Cause analysis: Internal electric heating tubes are burned out. The electric heater is installed horizontally, and during operation, the gas medium contains a large amount of accumulated dust, or the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet air of the electric heater is low, causing dust to deposit inside the electric heater and cover the heating tubes, preventing heat dissipation and eventually causing the heating tubes to burn out. The bottom heating tubes are most prone to burning out.

Troubleshooting: Regularly record the operating current of each group of electric heaters. When the maximum operating current of an individual group gradually decreases, it can be determined that the internal heating tubes are burned out. A few burned-out heating tubes will not affect system operation, and the heating tubes can be replaced during unit shutdown for maintenance. If most heating tubes are burned out and the heater outlet temperature cannot meet system requirements, the maximum power of the faulty group can be appropriately increased to ensure normal system operation.
